Bergoglio declares to Scalafari: “I am the proof … that Jesus Christ was not God at all!”  – From Rome Blog

I first read this post on the blog From Rome at about 8 in the morning the day the article first hit the press in Rome.  I was horrified and disheartened, like Catholics around the world.  Later in the day, I checked online to find the story had been picked up all over the world.  Being an observant Catholic, I began to read different articles, watch various videos, and listen to podcasts.  No matter your thoughts on Francis, we are all witness to one fact. He personally is not denying his friend’s news article. This blog originates from Rome, and much can be gleaned from the website. They do not agree with the Sedevacantist point of view, but it is surprising to learn the difference! In Rome the talk was already about, could it be possible that the current pope was not valid, and Benedict is actually still on the seat of Peter?  From Rome is the best site I have found to understand that argument from a Catholic worldview.

I double-checked.  As of 4PM, Sunday, there is still no denial directly from Pope Francis. We have only the bland statement issued from the Vatican Press office after every Scalarari article that turns faithful Catholics upside down.
